We are Approved Activity Providers (AAP) for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and our expertise is in the expedition and residential phases overseas. However so many of our schools asked for assistance with UK practice that we now offer UK based practice and qualifying expeditions.
Last summer 2010, a record-breaking 180 students qualified for their Gold Award in the Himalayas, jungles of Borneo and the Atlas Mountains of North Africa!
Teams were trekking with "remote supervision" under the 20 new conditions and, in
A Far Frontiers Expedition can combine the Expedition and Residential sections. In addition, under certain circumstances the time spent fundraising for your community project prior to the expedition can be used towards your Volunteering Section thus making it possible to achieve three sections from one expedition.
We offer excellent value for money - and unlike other providers, we provide 2 free staff places for a group of 13, easily reachable!
Don’t worry, we assist you with the DofE paperwork, and we do the presenting, invoicing and team preparation with the team… this really helps DofE Coordinators!
