"Duke of Edinburgh Gold is a feat I would encourage anyone to undertake... The expedition emphasised team work and taught us to fend for ourselves, leaving behind the phone signal, tv, and family, venturing off into places we had never been before ... undertaking the challenging qualifier in a different country ... will remain as one of my most valuable life-experiences for years to come."
DofE Participant, Morocco, December 2010

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your hard work in organising and supporting our trip to Morocco this summer. It was a fantastic experience that each and everyone of the girls thoroughly enjoyed. I know they gained a huge amount from the experience and it was a pleasure to witness them grow and develop together. I know my staff really enjoyed the whole experience as well and we were really well taken care off. All the guys on the ground in Morocco were fantastic and took excellent care of us and the girls."

We are Approved Activity Providers (AAP) for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and our expertise is in the expedition and residential phases overseas.  However so many of our schools asked for assistance with UK practice that we now offer UK based practice and qualifying expeditions.

Last summer 2010, a record-breaking 180 students qualified for their Gold Award in the Himalayas, jungles of Borneo and the Atlas Mountains of North Africa!

Teams were trekking with "remote supervision" under the 20 new conditions and, in Morocco, a number of schools also qualified for their residential sections, working alongside local school children on critically-needed community projects.

A Far Frontiers Expedition can combine the Expedition and Residential sections.   In addition, under certain circumstances the time spent fundraising for your community project prior to the expedition can be used towards your Volunteering Section thus making it possible to achieve three sections from one expedition.

We offer excellent value for money - and unlike other providers, we provide 2 free staff places for a group of 13, easily reachable!

Don’t worry, we assist you with the DofE paperwork, and we do the presenting, invoicing and team preparation with the team… this really helps DofE Coordinators!

The 20 Conditions of the Expedition Section
The 20 Conditions are applicable to all expeditions.  We can support you throughout your expedition process to ensure these are met.
