Situated between the High Atlas to the north and the Sahara Desert to the south, the Djebel Sarhro reminds one of the "bad lands" of America. When it's a dull season in the UK the Djebel Sarhro is at its best - winter sun and a chance to trek in a T shirt and shorts!
The remote Djebel Sarhro is a world of dusty outposts, red desert mountains and volcanic peaks. To the north lie the magnificent snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains; to the south are the immense open wastes of the Sahara Desert dotted with gorges, ruined Kasbahs, oases of date palms and the black tents of the semi-nomadic Ait Atta tribe.
