People standing on salt piles

"We deliver Overseas Adventurous School Expeditions for motivated 15–18 year olds who are united by their high degree of independence. This enables them to explore and discover with individuality, regions of the world where our in-depth knowledge really adds value.

Our determined success derives from superb staff who are passionate about our style of travel and all with a sense of mission. We will only recruit people who share our vision. Our management team has internationally recognised expertise in overseas expedition provision.

We are the official provider of 'Society Tours' for the Royal Geographical Society with IBG and have been selected as the logistical support for the British Services' Mountaineering 50th Anniversary Expedition to Makalu.

This depth and background brings an immense wealth of knowledge and experience to enhance our specialist ability to organise Overseas Adventurous School Expeditions."

... So why not give your students a life-changing opportunity they will treasure forever?
Far Frontiers Expeditions is a dynamic, independently run, specialist travel company.  We are the official providers of tours for the Royal Geograhical Society with IBG.  Our hallmarks are excellent personal service and bespoke expeditions.  We are providers of quality overseas school expeditions with worthwhile community projects, and we specialise in the provision of the DofE Expedition section overseas.

Far Frontiers Expeditions offers 35 destinations, but this is just a start. We will tailor your expedition to your exact requirements.

Duke of Edinburgh's Award
We are very proud to have just been appointed the first Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

Community Projects
Our school expeditions usually involve a community or school project that positively impacts the young people in these villages.

A Different Attitude
Every expedition has a defined purpose, aim and set of objectives.

Safety Matters
We only use qualified leaders, with professional risk analysis and management systems (RAMS).  We are the first Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and have an excellent safety record.

School Leaders
The role of the School Leader is vital and we provide at least two complimentary places on each expedition. As part of the leadership team their roles inclue deputy leader and pastoral support.

Find Out More
Many of our expeditions combine visiting several countries; a popular choice. The best way to embark on your journey is to ask us for details of possibilities in a particular region and then begin a dialogue developing your personal preference. Our expeditions are usually from nine days to three weeks but this is totally flexible.

Many schools like to have a lead-in time of 18 months to give youngsters an opportunity to raise funds, but a growing trend of expeditions now are planned, presented and run the following year. Our expertise is putting together the best possible expedition for your team. Variety is encouraged. We can include trekking, mountaineering, horse riding, cycling, rafting, community work and even good old sightseeing!
