Far Frontiers Expeditions is committed, through our policies and practices, to responsible tourism. Our policies aim to ensure that we and our clients act in a way which is socially, environmentally and culturally sound. We strongly believe all tour operators should contribute positively to the communities they visit, protect the envrionment by minimising pollution, and respect local traditions, religion and heritage. We tread lightly - low volume, low impact trekking/touring is the best way of preserving the beautiful and fragile places we visit.
We lead by example, and aim both to educate expeditioners about the impact of tourism and to develop their cultural sensitivity. We hope that by visiting and supporting a local economy in a sensitive manner we can make a positive contribution to those local people. As an example, our schools expeditions usually involve a community or school project that positively impacts the young people in these villages.
